Title:  Scheduler/Planner, Production I

  • Produce and process schedules daily, weekly and/or monthly based on production activities and/or business factors
  • Schedule project and execute timelines in order to predict the finish date for larger projects
  • Use company software and resources to generate reports and schedule revisions
  • Resolve schedule conflicts for efficient scheduling
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate production needs to supervisory team
  • Daily review for inventory shortages to provide timely delivery
  • Coordinate the shipping and/or transfer of inventory to sister locations to cover potential shortages and forecast needs
  • Succinct decision-making skills and the ability to make decisions based upon machine capabilities
  • Data analysis to Identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and cut down on production costs through effective scheduling and material management
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and actively adjust schedules in response to equipment failures or supply shortages
  • Ability to multitask and perform more than one task at a time and solve problems quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Required Skills

  • A college degree 2 years in the business, administration or a related field is preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency level in the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, formulas, graphs, charts)                                                      
  • Competent math skills (i.e., basic math, percentages ratio, decimals, formulas)                                        
  • Experience working with ERP systems, QAD experience a plus
  • Manufacturing/Production experience preferred
