Title:  Analyst, Financial III

Mission/Summary:

As a Financial Analyst reporting to the Plant Controller, you'll be providing the financial input to our business decision making with the aim of maximizing long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return in the Americas Packaging Division. This position will support our North Portland converting facility. The ideal candidate will have three to five years in an Accounting / Finance role and will interpret financial information and provide accurate financial results to ensure we meet our business objectives. This will include sales reporting and analysis, customer pricing, general ledger accounting, and other analysis and duties as required.

 

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Monthly profit analysis of customers and products
  • Monthly Sales reconciliation and reporting
  • Accounting liaison to Operations
  • Perform month end GL reconciliations and journal entries
  • Provide customer pricing for new products and routinely update for existing products
  • Perform analysis and project work as necessary
  • Assist with annual budgeting process as necessary
  • Must be willing to work 8 hours/day plus overtime as required.

 

Background/Experience

  • 3-5 years in an Accounting/Finance role
  • Experience with an ERP system (preferably SAP). 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, advanced level of Excel.
  • Experience with standard costing

 

Education/Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
