Job Requirements: The Coater Assistant will grow into an Operator role after progression and training is completed. This position will work with mill-sized paper rolls, weighing between 5,000 and 5,800 lb. Moving rolls into position to load on to machine unwind and rewind. Prepare Rolls for running splices. Maintain machine by keeping coating stations clean while pumping PVDC and other Coatings

 

  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must actively participate in plant-wide safety training.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lb.
  • Bend, twist & stoop
  • Follow operator instructions.
  • Operate hoist, forklift & roll pushers.
  • Perform repetitive tasks in an assembly setting
  • Use standing fork truck to place pallets onto warehouse train for pickup
  • Must be able to work 8-hour and/or 12-hour shifts (days, swing, or nights) plus overtime as required
    • The position will be cross-trained in our finishing department and OT may require 12-hour shifts.

 

Skills that would be a plus:

  • Experience with Flexo-printing or paper converting
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
