Title: Electrical Engineer

Mission/Summary:
This engineering position deals with developing and leading the processes to ensure application of Safe practices, ensure product quality, and continuous improvements to production costs and efficiencies. Lead root cause analysis and development of systemic solutions to eliminate repetitive incidents. Ensure plant power and controls equipment reliability through standard work practices.
Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following):
- Manage Electrical Safety program.
- Provide electrical support and code Compliance direction to Maintenance crews.
- Provide training and mentoring for Maintenance Electricians.
- Provide strategic plan for power and control platforms
- Manage capital projects
- Support Continuous Improvement process through project development and technical support for projects.
- Manage integrity of power distribution system
- Manage upgrades to obsolete components and systems.
- Act as signing supervisor for permit program
Job Functions: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage LOTO section of Safety Manual
- Develop and administer strategy plan for plant power and controls platform.
- Provide capital plan business case data
- Manage capital projects and machine improvements, including scope of work, bidding, and project oversight
- Work with outside contractors on non-capital projects
- Create culture to achieve plant results
- Model core values
- Provide technical support for Maintenance crews, including night and weekend support.
- Lead troubleshooting of problems with PLC’s, drives, sensors, and controls
- Lead obsolete DC drive replacement/conversion
Background / Experience:
- 5-7 years in an industrial manufacturing plant with electrical experience
- NEC Code knowledge
Education / Knowledge:
- Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering
- PE Electrical Engineering for the State of Oregon a plus.
- PLC programming/ troubleshooting (Siemens a plus )
- Power distribution systems knowledge
