Mission/Summary:

As a Financial Analyst reporting to the Plant Controller, you'll be providing the financial input to our business decision making with the aim of maximizing long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return in the Americas Packaging Division. This position will support our North Portland converting facility. The ideal candidate will have three to five years in an Accounting / Finance role and will interpret financial information and provide accurate financial results to ensure we meet our business objectives. This will include sales reporting, inventory analysis, customer pricing, general ledger accounting, and other analysis and duties as required.

 

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Monthly Analysis & Adjustment of Raw Material Inventory
  • Monthly Review and Costing of Inventory
  • Monthly Sales reconciliation and Reporting
  • Perform month end GL reconciliations and journal entries
  • Update customer pricing for existing products
  • Perform analysis and project work as necessary
  • Assist with annual budgeting process as necessary

 

Background/Experience

  • 3-5 years in an Accounting/Finance role
  • Experience with an ERP system (preferably SAP). 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, advanced level of Excel.
  • Experience with standard costing

 

Education/Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Energy, drive and capability of handling multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Hands-on individual with keen interest in quickly learning and applying new skills who can follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to structure data into logical, thorough analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
