Title:  Extrusion Production Operator

Graphic Packaging International Inc. is currently seeking extruder operators for our Prosperity, SC facility located in Newberry County.

As an extruder operator, you will be trained to support the extrusion line as an operator.  You will have the opportunity to be flexible and learn multiple jobs.  Operators are assigned as either unwind operators, winder operators or scale operators.  Initially you will learn the basics of safety, product quality and producing extruded board for our customers.

The facility currently operates on a 4-day work schedule, Monday – Thursday, but may work other days as production needs dictate.  We operate with two 12 hour shifts from 6:45 to 7.  Day shift or night shift is not guaranteed.  Training will occur on the shift you are assigned. 

Start date will be June 5, 2023.

** Plant will be moving to a traditional 5 day work week with three 8.25 shifts within the next 1-2 months.

1^st shift is 6:45a-3p

2^nd shift is 2:45p-11p

3^rd 10:45a-7a

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with a $1.50 per hour shift differential for night shift with wage progression up to $24.50.

• Must be able to work additional hours (overtime)
• Reading computer screen or electronic devices 

Required Skills 

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Mechanical/Technical aptitude
• Ability to read a tape measure to increments as small as a 1/32; Will be tested onsite
• Entry Level Computer skills
• Ability to communicate clearly
• You will be required to wear steel toes shoes, hair and/or beard nets, safety glasses and earplugs at a minimum

A background check, drug screen and a physical exam are required for employment.
