Opportunity:  We are an Extrusion coating manufacturing operation seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Prosperity, South Carolina team. 

 

Job Summary:  The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of facility maintenance and project management MRO ordering and inventory control.     

 

Job Functions:

  • Planning and scheduling of plant maintenance activities to include Preventative and Predicative Maintenance.
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge helpful.
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to meet deadlines on a continuous basis.
  • Directs contractors and ensures compliance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Must be a leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge is needed in equipment servicing, maintenance planning and scheduling, process control and extrusion coating operations.  A solid working knowledge is required in project management, industrial engineering, and cost analysis. 
  • Position requires hands on assistance to the maintenance team at times of need and during diagnosis of equipment failure(s).
  • Computer Maintenance Management Systems use and implementation (SAP a plus)
  • Ensure that proper safety practices are followed.
  • Ensure maintenance technicians identify work requirements observed and enter appropriate notifications in SAP.
  • Update plant personnel of current work projects and their progress.  
  • Create work schedules in SAP and distribute work orders to maintenance team as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 2-5 years maintenance experience in an extrusion facility or pulp/paper mill.
  • 5 years of maintenance planning experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hour shifts; position is typically Monday through Friday however must be available on nights as needed as well as weekends and holidays as business needs change.
  • Proficient computer skills using tools such as Microsoft Office products, SAP.  Have the ability to learn business specific computer programs.

Benefits/Pay

  • Hourly wage is $39.04, and we offer shift premium of $1.50 for night shift between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
  • Uniforms are provided.
