Accounting Clerk (Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll):

  • $1500 Retention Bonus for New Hires and Qualifying Rehires
  • Starting At $21.62, progressing to $24.18 at 24 Months
  • SHIFT: 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday
  • Benefits Start on the 1st Of the Month Following Your Start Date

Job Summary:
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Process non-purchase order invoices for payment
  • Research and resolve problem invoices (PINS, blocked invoices, etc.)
  • Prepare and enter journal vouchers for month-end closings
  • Serve as Hourly Payroll back-up including submission of weekly payroll upon payroll specialist absence
  • Assist in managing paperwork for all paid time off (vacations, paid personal days, etc.)
  • Enter payroll adjustments on a weekly basis including Short-term Disability pay.
  • Create payroll tracking reports
  • Outbound billing (rolls to Kenton, Visalia, and SCCS)
  • Backup for daily duties of Plant & Cost Accountant roles
  • Collaboratively work with others in the Accounting department on various projects
  • Assist other areas of the plant as needed including but not limited to HR & HSE
  • Answer switchboard and handle other Receptionist duties, including mail sorting and distribution
  • Participate in Records Retention Compliance
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
  • Complete special projects, as requested.


  • Preferred Requirement:
    • Minimum of 3 years of work experience within an accounting function, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


  • High School Diploma
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Accounting or comparable field of study), preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, various manufacturing and staff departments within the facility, and with groups outside the facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, as well as extensive knowledge working with key computer applications related to the role’s primary functions (Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP, QAD, Workbrain)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, and detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions. 
  • Takes initiative; demonstrated ability to work independently without a great need of supervision; assumes personal responsibility for meeting time sensitive deadlines related to payroll and month end financial closing.
  • High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent attendance.


  • Typical schedule consists of an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.


  • Sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office equipment, hand and electrical tools or equipment.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment in designated areas (Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection, Hair & Beard Netting).
  • Occasional working in various temperatures & humidity levels depending on building & department (not all areas are temperature controlled throughout facilities).
  • Ability to work overtime (greater than 40 hours per week)
  • Ability to work any shift, including 12 hours, evenings, and weekends
