Title:  Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary:

Responsible for compiling, reviewing, and posting payroll. Additional responsibilities include updating payroll records, monitoring vacation/paid time off eligibility, and answering questions about payments. Ultimately, your role will be to ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Safety and Engagement Objectives
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll processes through confidentiality and attentiveness
  • Collaboration with HR to ensure accuracy of payroll and attendance records
  • Payroll Processes:
    • Monitor for and resolve time punch errors and timesheet approvals.
    • Accurate and timely payroll submissions, validations, and adjustments
    • Verify, maintain, and update temporary wage adjustments/assignments
    • Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g. vacations, holidays, severance, bereavement, FMLA, short-term disability, other paid time off (PTO), etc.)
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Monitor vacation and PTO; validate eligibility of vacation and PTO requests
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Coordinate processing of off-cycle pay requests
  • Communicate/collaborate with Supervisors to ensure payroll and timekeeping policies are followed, the proper recording of time worked and job assignments, and vacation/PTO eligibility.
  • Issue weekly and monthly internal reports on various payroll results
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger
  • Facilitate internal/external audits by providing records and documentation upon request
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 


Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Professional or Associate Degree in Accounting strongly preferred
  • 3 years of payroll experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Infor Workforce Management (Workbrain) and SAP experience preferred
