Position Summary
Full-time position to support various administrative tasks within accounting, purchasing and HR. Primary job duties include: Payroll reporting, accounts receivable, assisting accounts payable, and supporting various administrative tasks within the Accounting Department.
Responsible to Controller for successful performance of assigned tasks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Payroll:
- Review and process weekly payrolls
- Assist with timekeeping entries and adjustments
- Research and adjust pay/timekeeping discrepancies
- Work closely with HR regarding payroll related tasks
- Accounts Receivable:
- Process daily invoicing and cash receipts
- Research debit/credit memo requests
- Customer Account maintenance
- Take collection steps to ensure payment within terms
- Prepare and report weekly AR Aging and customer stats
- Accounts Payable:
- Assist in entering and processing vendor invoices and other accounts payable transactions in accounting system
- Assist with preparation of accounts payable check runs as needed
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and supplier concerns as needed
- Assist in reconciliation of accounts payable and other accounts at period close
- Other Accounting:
- Administer and maintain supply closet
- Main Phone Coverage – route callers
- Update daily/weekly reports as assigned
- Assist with other accounting or administrative projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, detail orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
- Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions. Takes initiative and is self-directed.
- High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
- Can work independently without a great need of supervision.
- Can manage multiple projects at one time.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. SAP knowledge a plus.
Education and Experience
- High School Education + 4 yrs related experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred, but not required
Pay Range: $42,845.00 - $53,580.00
