MISSION / SUMMARY:

Oversees and trains on manufacturing processes to meet/exceed the company’s key performance indicators. Completes accurate inspections and quality testing on cartons starting with set up through the shipping process. Provides technical training and support to management and employees with regards to the plant’s product safety programs (HACCP, SQF, Food Defense, etc.) and Lean initiatives.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

Instructions: This portion should include Principal Duties and Responsibilities for a position.  Include only those current duties and responsibilities that account for 5% or more of the work.

  • Oversees hourly employees on all production activities
  • Assist in meeting manufacturing schedules and coordinating production operations
  • Communicates with employees on proceeding and succeeding shifts to establish process stability and to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
  • Verifies the quality of product visual assessment and random inspection using specific testing tools.
  • Maintains accurate records of all tests and inspections.
  • Trains operators on troubleshooting, quality checks, and identifying defects.
  • Develop SOP’s
  • Enter vendor complaints in SAP.
  • Ensure hourly employees work safely.
  • Ensures plant’s compliance to 3rd party Functional Control / Pre-Requisite program requirements including HACCP, SQF, and other customer-mandated programs.
  • Conducts annual training in HACCP, GMP’s, Food defense, and Allergens
  • Participates in safety and quality behavior-based observations.
  • Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork
