The Maintenance Tech is responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining, repairing, and installing machinery in the plant.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of state-of-the-art lithographic printing machinery, die cutters, and folder/gluers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prevent/minimize machine downtime through use of preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Basic welding and mechanical repairs
  • Basic electrical circuits & installation
  • General building maintenance
  • Basic machine shop work
  • Work overtime as needed to support the business

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Use computer system to process work notifications (SAP)
  • Qualify to operate a forklift, aerial boom lift and scissor lift
  • Work on platforms approximately 15 feet above the ground
  • Strong electrical engineering background
  • Knowledge of and ability to test, troubleshoot and service all types of electrical equipment includeing AC and DC drives, PLC's and their associated control networks
  • Experience testing, maintaining, and calibrating electrical equipment using sound troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work any shift (including nights & weekends)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • 2 years of work experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance setting
