The Procurement Coordinator II will be the point of contact between the plant department managers, accounting department and vendors for plant purchasing. They will be responsible for accuracy of data and purchase order integrity to ensure a timely and cost-effective purchasing process and maintain vendor relationships.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

 

  • Follows and enforces the company's procurement policies and procedures
  • Work with department managers to gather quotes and/or sales order for needed purchases
  • Obtain approval for purchase orders, submit to vendors, and track delivery
  • Evaluating vendors, comparing their products, prices, and services
  • Successfully process all incoming invoices to AP, working with receiving to obtain packing slips
  • Works with corporate AP and vendors to resolve any issues with invoicing.
  • Provide month end report of open invoices & purchase orders to AP and controller
  • Maintain spend checkbook for key G/L accounts
  • Send open PO list to controller weekly and follow up with requisitioners/vendors on past due orders
  • Maintain all vendors, actively gathering and entering information for new vendors to facilitate smooth onboarding processes.
  • Onboarding Vendors through the company Procurement program.
  • Update information for all existing vendors, ensuring accuracy and completeness of vendor records.
  • Communicate with warehouse on truck deliveries and pickups
  • Other duties assigned

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Familiarity with procurement systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills are required to perform this job.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, email and mail.
  • Strong organization skills and extremely detailed to assure consistent accuracy. 

 

Physical Demands

 

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours

 

Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs

 

Reading computer screen or other electronic devices

 

Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment

 

 

Pay Range:   $43,920.00 - $54,900.00
