Title:  Former Operator

  • The forming operator is responsible for the operation of their assigned forming machines. While operating those machines, they are responsible to run quality cartons at or above target run speeds while minimizing waste and downtime. 
  • The case packing specification must also be reviewed to make sure that all the instructions are clear and concise prior to running the order.
  • The Operator is responsible to ensure that all waste and downtime is accurately tracked and reported from assigned machines.
  • The operator inspects for product quality including proper gluing and stacking, carton and score alignment, case fit, counts, and ensures that the machine is in good running condition.
  • The operator is also responsible for shutting down the machine if it is to be left unattended.
  • This position reports to the Forming Lead, Shift Supervisor, and Department Manager.

 


Required Skills

  • Knowledge – H.S. education or equivalent
  • Skill Requirements – Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, good communication skills, comfortable with computer applications including Excel and Word.
  • Skill Desirables - SAP
  • Abilities – Professional, good behavior, good attendance, ability to work in teams or alone
