Title: Forming Lead

Responsibilities
Directs and coordinates the day-to-day shift activities, by providing leadership and supervision to subordinates.
o Assists Supervisor in production planning, operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities, and human resource requirements and capabilities.
o Works with Supervisor to makes decisions, job assignments and work priorities
o Provides Leadership and supervision to designated shift.
o Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards.
o Ensures that Safety/ housekeeping/ procedures and acceptable work practices are being followed throughout the shift.
o Conducts performance coaching of individuals for performance related issue for safety, quality, and productivity.
o Enforces all company policies and procedures.
o Ensures completion of all paperwork including end of shift reports, PMs, work orders, and daily management.
Required Skills
Continuous Improvement - Lean
o Improves operational effectiveness through use of lean manufacturing concepts and cost reduction initiatives.
o Participate in and drive lean culture.
o Drive daily management and lean initiatives for your assigned shift.
Quality
o Works with Leadership team to develop and implement any corrective action for quality defect within 48 hours of complaint.
o Perform necessary quality checks.
o Make sure that our employees are aware and understand quality processes and practices.
Cost Reduction
o Monitors and meet overtime and cost targets on your designated shift.
o Works with department manager to implement cost saving initiatives.
