Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Conduct maintenance of electrical systems on printing press machines, formers and folder gluer machines. 
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations
  • Support the setup of Press machines, Carton Formers and conduct repairs, preventative maintenance and inspections when necessary
  • Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Inspect scrap systems, balers, stretch wrapper systems that support daily production
  • Inspect fire suppression system daily, weekly, monthly and annually.

Qualifications for Maintenance Technician

  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other systems
  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including PIT’s , man lifts , and industry specific tooling
  • Working knowledge of mechanical tools, industrial meters and measuring devices
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment
