PAY RATE: $18.76 /HR

PLUS, SHIFT PREMIUM: $0.15 – 0.25/HR

 

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:  Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts. This is a 2nd shift position.  Candidate must be willing to train on 1st shift and be willing and able to weekends and overtime as required.

Job Summary:

 

Position is the first step entering into the Cutting Department Line of Progression.  The employee will be trained to run all of the cutting presses as well as perform many other duties within the operation.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Run cutting presses to cover breaks and lunch periods when press is running.
  2. Run running cutting presses as necessary to cover for vacations and absences.
  3. Prepare loads for cutting equipment by utilizing an aerator.
  4. Assist employees within the Service Department when workflow demands require assistance.
  5. Clean department as needed.
  6. Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process.
  7. Capable of lifting in excess of 75 lbs.
  8. Follow all Plant Safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Monitor the level of quality in the products being produced.

 

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  1. Collect Statistical Process Control (SPC) Data as required.
  2. Participate in Continuous Process Improvement Activities as required.
  3. Follow all guidelines related to the AIB certification.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

No employee will be allowed to enter this classification without a commitment to move upward in the Cutting Department Line of Progression.  Should an employee be unable to perform the basic responsibilities of the Cutting Operator he will be disqualified from the classification.

 

 

 

Lift truck license is required for this classification.
