Job Summary:

The janitorial duties include performing a wide variety of duties to maintain the plant, warehouse, and grounds. The utility duties involve working in the various production departments in the plant, as needed, to assure continuous operation of the process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Able to follow all written and verbal instructions.
2. Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
3. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products.
4. Perform cleaning and maintenance duties required to preserve the cleanliness of the facility.
5. Safely operate tools associated with the position. Including: Brooms, Mops, Vacuum Cleaners, Shovels, Rakes, Power Equipment (Gas & Electric), and any other tools/equipment assigned to the job.
6. Inspect inside rodent traps on the scheduled intervals according to the product safety standard.
7. Strong attention to detail is required to monitor the cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
8. Filling out of inspection sheets, production logs, and inventory checklists as required.
9. Ability to work in conjunction with the other Associates in the process.
10. Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process.
11. Follow all Plant Safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
12. Comply with the Consolidated Standards for Inspection – Food Contact Manufacturing Facilities following SQF Guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Assist in other areas of production as the work load requires.
2. Participate in Continuous Process Improvement Activities as required.

Qualifications:

Basic math, reading and writing skills are required to perform this job.
