Graphic Packaging International, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of paperboard and fiber-based packaging for the world’s most recognized brands of food, beverage, and consumer products is growing their business!  We have embarked on a significant capital investment to modernize and grow our coated recycled paperboard (CRB) manufacturing portfolio. The investment includes building a state-of-the-art paper machine on a greenfield site in Waco, Texas. This investment will upgrade the company’s overall recycled paperboard capacity and take advantage of a rapidly-growing market for recycled and recyclable packaging.

 

This investment will position Graphic Packaging International, LLC as the most technologically advanced producer in its industry, benefitting their customers, their shareholders and the environment when this highly productive paperboard machine ramps up. 

 

We are seeking a Stock Room Inventory Manager to join the Waco, Texas (Greenfield Startup) team.   

 

MISSION / SUMMARY:

This position provides leadership to stock room and team and is an integral part of stock room/inventory management.  They drive employee performance to achieve results consistent with company direction and goals.   This person will work to develop the team members to their full potential. 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the shift team.
  • Responsible for performance coaching and/or/counseling of department employees for performance relating to safety, quality, productivity and/or inappropriate behaviors to include disciplinary action if required to resolve performance issue.
  • Ensures that safety/housekeeping norms, procedures and acceptable work practices are being followed throughout the shifts.
  • Accountable for overall department performance in areas of safety, housekeeping, quality, waste and production.  Takes necessary actions to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Attends and participates in department meetings as scheduled
  • Manages storeroom activity, processes and people for site and 2-3 paper machines and approximately 17k parts and multiple satellite stores.
  • Provides daily communications to the shift teams i.e. announcements.
  • Ensures product quality, production efficiencies and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards.
  • Manages job assignments and training plans.
  • Provides leadership and direction to shift leaders and other hourly employees to continuously improve safety, quality, reduce waste and increase throughput.
  • Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 years storeroom and/or inventory software experience
  • 5 years previous papermill storeroom management experience preferred
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience
  • MS Office

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related training and experience
