1. POSITION:

1. 1. 1. Unwind Operator- Extruder Line

1.0.1.1   Meet minimum strength, agility, sight and hearing standards established for functional job description under the pre employment occupational safety and health program

2. EDUCATION:

2. 1. 1. High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)

1. 1. 2. Ability to recognize and react to production situations

1. 1. 3. Ability to receive instructions and perform the job with little supervison

3. EXPERIENCE:

3. 1. 1. Entry level, no specific experience required

4. RESPONSIBILITIES:

4. 1. 1. The unwind operator is responsible for roll preparation and the operation of  the unwind station, In, addition, the unwind operator:

1. 1. 1. 1. Measures and verifies incoming roll widths against the  Production work  order

1. 1. 1. 2. Visually inspects incoming material

1. 1. 1. 3. Loads and operates unwind station

4. 1. 1. 1. Empties and lubricates poly pans bands logs as needed and stores logs in warehouse properly. 12 to a stack, band tight as you can

1. 1. 1. 2. Cuts and numbers raw retain samples for the supervisor

1. 1. 1. 3. Assists extruder line operator as needed

1. 1. 1. 4. Monitors condition and wear of unwind station

1. 1. 1. 5. Maintain clean work area

1. 1. 1. 6. Reads production schedule and plans work accordingly

1. 1. 1. 7. Ensure that initial machine  startup brake mode is in manual setting

1. 1. 1. 8. When line is started up , switch brake into automatic mode. Then proceed back to # 1 laminator and set film edger and monitor  this station until machine is running properly

1. 1. 1. 9. Verifies Purchase order on raw rolls against Production work order

1. 1. 1. 10. Bands paper waste as needed and stores in waster room properly

1. 1. 1. 11. When job is caught up you will  be in position to visually monitor equipment

1. 1. 1. 12. Notifies assistant supervisor anytime absence from machine is required for breaks, restroom, etc.

1. 1. 1. 13. When machine breaks out or is down fro any reason, must work toward getting machine back into production as quickly as possible

1. 1. 1. 14. Work with other crew members and provide assistance as needed

1. 1. 1. 15. Watch leaving to much paper on cores after cut overs
