Rewinder/Slitter Operator and Helper
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Mathematical skills- proficient in addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Verbal Communication Skills
Experience:
- Extrusion or coater/laminator winder operations (not required, but preferred)
- Material Handling- lift truck (not required, but preferred)
Responsibilities:
- The operator and helper are reponsible for slitting and rewinding rolls from the extruder and the coater/laminator lines. Also, they rework rolls (rewind and/or slit) to remove flaws or blemishes.
- Operate the rewinder as efficiently and productively as possible.
- Read production schedule and plan work accordingly
- Instruct helpers in performing various tasks
- Complete order rewin report
- Strecth wrap rolls as specified
- Set up maching for operation orders.
- Complete roll tickets thoroughly
- Perform caliper test when specified
- Read and comprehend production work order and rewinder set up sheet.
- Perform visual inspection
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
