Responsible for plant purchasing and record keeping for all purchasing activities. Oversight and management of all sources of supply, pricing information and auditing activates.   Works closely with the plant production and maintenance teams to ensure adequate support for operational needs.


Job Functions:

  • Manage procurement activities.
  • Work with Requisitioner & Receivers/AP Team to resolve workflows.
  • Maintain list of vendors and suppliers to support plant operational needs.
  • Oversees cost and spending requests and coordinates with leadership on items in question.
  • Works with production and maintenance to ensure stores stocks and operational supplies are available.
  • Works closely with plant leadership to manage costs.
  • Work with controller on proper GL & cost center recording.
  • Remains available as needed to prepare and processes purchase orders when requested.
  • Ability to work 8 hours/day plus overtime as required.


Required Skills:

  • Work with vendors as needed to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review/reconcile consignment inventories.
  • Minimum of an AA/AS Degree required, Degree in related field preferred
  • Strong computer skills - especially in Excel
  • Strong math skills
  • On call availability during scheduled work days.
  • AP experience a plus!


Required Experience:

  • 1-2 years purchasing/buying experience
  • Experience in Accounting a plus
  • Experience with SAP a plus
