Graphic Packaging-Visalia manufactures and distributes paper cups and plastic lids for the food service industry and is currently recruiting for the following position.
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Planner
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
WORK SCHEDULE: M-F 8 hours
JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Planning role is to provide leadership and support to his/her operations Department Manager, Shift Managers, and operating crews to ensure continuity of plant operations especially regarding maintenance execution. They are responsible for the maintenance activities required for maintaining and ensuring the reliability for the operations department. This role covers the Lids and Folding Carton Department of the plant with approx. 2 large processes, working with 5 Lid lines and 2 Folding Carton lines. They understand and align business operations and Plant Operations as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
WORK DEVICES/TOOLS IP imaged computer, IP issued diagnostic equipment (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.) Maintenance required devices, Office equipment/supplies, Tape measure, Calculators, Printers
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years prior experience in Maintenance Planning preferred
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- Four-year degree (Mechanical Engineering or related technology preferred) or;
- Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree
SKILLS:
- Use technical skills and formal methods to identify root causes and implement solutions, including design changes.
- Ability to create and sustain change
- Ability to engage a work force
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project Management Skills preferred
- Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
- Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
