JOB SUMMARY:         

  • The primary responsibility of the Electrician is to maintain all electrical aspects of the facility and equipment.  

  • Skills Required:

    • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, automation controls, codes, and safety regulations.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and control issues.
    • Attention to Detail: Precision in work to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.

  •   Paper cups, plastic lids and facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, transformers, and control components.

  2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand layouts in industrial and facility settings.

  3. Inspect electrical components for safety, functionality, and compliance with local and national electrical codes.

  4. Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as multimeters, circuit testers, and other diagnostic tools.

  5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, sensors, and other automation components.

  6. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and avoid unexpected breakdowns.

  7. Assist with mechanical tasks as needed, including equipment teardown, rebuilds, and support during emergency repairs or downtime.

  8. Collaborate with other trades and contractors to support cross-functional maintenance and improvement efforts.

  9. Upgrade outdated electrical systems by replacing old wiring, panels, and fixtures to meet current standards.

  10. Document work performed and maintain accurate records using the facility’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

  11. Respond to emergency calls and provide quick, effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operations.

  12. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety protocols.

  13. Support energy efficiency initiatives by identifying and implementing electrical system upgrades

b.   Employees may be required to perform other necessary tasks throughout the plant including cleaning, general housekeeping duties, painting, sorting, cup-by-cup, lid-by-lid or tasks of a clerical nature.
