JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Graphic Packaging-Visalia manufactures and distributes paper cups and plastic lids for the food service industry and is currently recruiting for the following position.
 

JOB TITLE:  HR Administrator (Recruiting)

DEPARTMENT:  Human Resources

WORK SCHEDULE:  8:00AM TO 4:00PM

 

JOB SUMMARY:  

This position is in the HR Department and will be responsible for recruitment & on-boarding of all hourly production positions; act as a liaison between Visalia Plant Leadership and 3rd party agencies ensuring that temporary staffing needs are met; assist with plant engagement activities.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Responsible for the recruitment/ onboarding process of hourly production employees by posting positions/ maintaining pool of candidates / scheduling interviews/ processing applications / creating positions / creating hourly job offers / initiating background & drug screen in system. 
•    Liaison between Visalia Plant Leadership and 3rd party temp agencies – responsible for communication between 3rd party representative and Visalia Plant Leadership
•    Send vacancy requests to temp agencies. 
•    Update Staffing Chart with assignment ended and new vacancies.
•    Initiates 30-60-90-day review process of all temporary employees. 
•    Updates Performance Review Tracker of both temporary employees and GPI hourly employees. 
•    Assists with employee engagement functions and employee-related events.
•    Responds to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
•    Create and verify I9 and Notice to EE (CA requirement)
•    Create new hire packets / new hire folders. 
•    Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires.
•    Filing – Employee Files 
•    Updating HR Bulletin Boards 
•    Support other functions as assigned.


SKILLS: 


•    Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in Human Resources. 
•    Experience in recruitment highly preferred. 
•    High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
•    Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws preferred.
•    Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
•    Strong time management skills 
•    Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Access in particular)
•    Experience using SAP & Work Brain a plus.
•    Above average communication skills. Open to being cross functional and controlling your own development.


 

 

 

Pay Range:    $24.00 PER HOUR
