Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the mechanical, electrical, and instrumental activities by engaging and training a team of 18 machine maintenance mechanics, building maintenance, PM mechanics and PM schedulers on a three shift ,24/7 converting operation.  Achieve results in safety, preventative and predictive maintenance, machine and equipment utilization, waste reduction, equipment improvement, machine installation, facility maintenance and upgrade, spare parts inventory, preventative maintenance scheduling, and capital projects.

 

 This position requires strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, motor control, schematics and print reading, control circuits, basic AC/DC theory, computers and PLC.  A minimum college degree (engineering degree preferred) and 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing.  Converting experience is a plus. Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead cross functional teams, strategic planning, and conflict management experience. Trained in process improvement (Lean, Six-Sigma, 5S, and other discipline) preferred.

 

All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check. Must be able to work swing shift and graveyard. Overtime will be required, as necessary, including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24 hour, 7 day/week basis.
