MISSION / SUMMARY:
To support the Finance Manager and Controller in driving accurate and timely financial reporting, business analytics support, and continuous improvement initiatives for the Paperboard Manufacturing facility in Waco, TX.
JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform various month-end duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Responsible for certain inventory controls, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop a working knowledge of the facility’s purchasing and expenditure processes and procedures within SAP to maintain proper controls, manage costs, and support operating departments.
- Support facility requirements for fixed asset accounting, including the physical inventory of fixed assets.
- Act as financial liaison to assigned cost center managers and assist them with their budgets and explanations for monthly variances to budget.
- Perform assigned functions for annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Assist in facility and SOX audits.
- Provide backup support to other team members as required, including some cost accounting activity.
- Perform other related duties as required.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- 3 or more years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- MBA or CPA, preferred.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Dynamic, flexible team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
- ERP (preferably SAP), SQL, and Power BI experience preferred.
- Initiative / Self-Motivated.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
- Month End schedule requires 8-10+ hours the first 4 workdays of each month.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
- Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Physical Inventories occur on operating floors, and exposure to outdoor heat.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
Pay Range: $58,875.00 - $78,500.00
