Title:  Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Summary: Maintenance planner/scheduler supports the maintenance department personnel in tasks for daily planning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the maintenance supervisor and maintenance department manager in all maintenance planning activities
  • Attends production meetings and acts at the direction of the maintenance manager or supervisor for items such as:
    • Supports maintenance crews to ensure parts are available for scheduled work
    • Procures materials as needed for maintenance project work and preventative maintenance tasks
    • Coordinates plans with production operations for daily, weekend and holiday maintenance activities
    • Provides daily maintenance updates at various plant meetings
    • Support a 24/7 operation over a 500,000 sq. ft. facility
  • Assists in keeping up with the weekly maintenance schedule and KPI’s
  • Assist with maintenance tracking spend against the monthly maintenance budget
  • Supports achievement of 90% of preventative and predictive maintenance activities for departmental goals
  • Monitors work order parts tracking
  • Maintains BOM/Function location information
  • Fills-in for maintenance supervisor when absent
  • Schedules and coordinates outside vendors for repairs and service evaluations
  • Works and aligns self with plant and department goals and objectives
  • Assists and/or leads tasks within SAP in the areas of:
    • Job scoping
    • Estimation of time, materials, and resources
    • Material procurement
    • Weekly planning meetings
    • Execute the SAP maintenance planning processes
  • Other job duties as assigned

Required Skills

Education/Knowledge:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in maintenance scheduling/planning, maintenance operations, manufacturing, or production operations preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing operations, maintenance or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous experience with maintenance planning and scheduling in SAP preferred
  • Strong knowledge of equipment/process systems
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
