Title: Process Engineer - Intern

MISSION / SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for providing engineer related support to various production departments to assist with: developing and/or updating existing operating manuals for equipment and employee training documents and procedures; equipment performance metrics (i.e. downtime and waste reduction) and quality improvements.
JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failure
- Analyze downtime to identify “bad actors” and assist in prioritizing efficient make-ready, runnability and reliability improvement efforts
- Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer
- Assist in maintaining and modifying existing equipment, make-ready processes and control systems
- Assist in writing standard operating procedures and SQF processes
- Provide engineering support for other departments as needed
- Present project savings to the department periodically and in total at the end of the internship

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
- Three (3) positions
- Full-Time Preferred (40 hours per week)
- Duration (May/June – August/Sept)
- Pay Based on Year in College and Previous Work Experience
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
