MISSION / SUMMARY:
The process control engineering provides support to a large Pulp and Paper Mill at our West Monroe, LA Mill.

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
- This position will be actively designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining essential DCS, PLC, APC systems used to monitor and control systems and processes, ensuring safe and efficient operations
- Understanding of control system design considerations with emphasis on human safety and the availability/security of operating environment
- Support implementation and maintenance of the control system asset life-cycle management.
- Experience assessing, designing, and implementing Honeywell Experion, TDC 3000 and Rockwell control systems.
- Creating strategies and standards related to all aspects of the control system platform; these include, but are not limited to DCS, PLC, control logic programming and data acquisition
- Developing project plans and working collaboratively with design and operations engineers, IT and other staff members
- Acting as a liaison between internal personnel, suppliers, and contractors
- Acting as Project Manager/Overseer and keeping projects within design, cost, and time expectations
- Maintaining and modifying existing control systems
Required Experience
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- Six (6) years experience with Honeywell DCS systems.
- Manage department projects associated with re-instrumentation and DCS/PLC installations. Experience in supporting operations group on a day-to-day basis.
- Configuration and of Honeywell DCS, servers, stations, Rockwell , Cisco Switches.
- Experience with instrumentation and electrical systems associated with Process Control Systems.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
BS in Engineering or related experience
