Job Overview: Graphic Packaging International is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team in West Monroe, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving the reliability and performance of our manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal operation, and minimizing downtime. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to enhance our production processes and support our commitment to quality and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Ensures that proper safety practices are followed.

- Develop and implement reliability engineering strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.

- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to establish maintenance plans and schedules that maximize equipment uptime.

- Utilize predictive and preventive maintenance techniques to enhance equipment reliability.

- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Lead cross-functional teams in reliability improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Prepare and present technical reports and findings to management and stakeholders.

- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians in reliability engineering principles and practices.

- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to mechanical reliability.

- Lead Reliability Programs as system owner and coordinate with the COE team.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical reliability engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, reliability engineering methodologies, and statistical analysis.

- Proficient in using reliability software and tools for data analysis and reporting.

-Proficient in Microsoft office and SAP knowledge preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

- Professional certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CRE, CMRP) is preferred.
