Title:  Rollstand Operator

  • Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards  to execute production.
  • Preps rolls for production - check rolls for damage and lap off damage.
  • Sets up, and install rolls on spindle for printing production and recheck rolls for track damage. Continuously feed the rolls into the spindle for continuous printing.
  • Fold and place lapped off boards in lap bin and band them periodically throughout the shift.
  • Split roll cores and stack in designated area and band them.
  • Stack and wrap roll plugs.
  • Follows the directions of Operator, 2nd Pressman, and/or Production Supervisor/Manager.
  • Able to fill in as Assistance Press Operator if needed.
  • Responsible for area cleanliness.
  • Tests and inspects products as required to ensure consistent quality and operational standards are maintained.
  • Assists in the maintenance and set up of equipment for customer product.
  • Assists in the performance of equipment operations, adjustments, tests and conversions on all equipment associated with converting operations.
  • Participates in maintaining department integrity to ensure quality, efficiency, safety and AIB standards are maintained.
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Computer literacy and miscellaneous helper qualified.
  • Communication, mechanical, and technical skills.
