  • Preparation of competitively priced quotes for customer jobs
  • Manages raw materials (board) inventories to ensure there is sufficient quantities available to meet production demands/allocate to customer orders
  • Calculates costs of material and manufacturing for the production of jobs
  • Provides support for pricing and completion of price sheets
  • Determines cost effective layouts, working closely with the appropriate departments
  • Works closely with the purchaser of raw materials
  • Manages outsourcing
  • Respond promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service
  • Must work within approved budgets
  • Develop and implement cost saving measures, while contributing to profits and revenues
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to ensure deadlines are adhered to and customer needs are met
  • Other duties as assigned and required

 

Safety:

 

  • Support and follow established GPI safety policies and training

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and one to two years related experience/training; combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the company
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentage, area, circumference and volume. 
  • Knowledge CAD software and Excel is required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines safely and within quality specifications
  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and managers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Willing to engage in both internal and external training that is mandated by management
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred
  • Problem solving and analytical skills

 

 

Shift Schedule:

 

Monday to Friday schedule- 8:00AM – 4:30PM.  Occasional overtime may be required.
