Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

Job Summary:  The Quality Assurance Coordinator will support the CI/QA Manager in the practice of maintain all components of the quality systems.

Job Functions:   Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining accurate records to assure compliance to food safety and quality certification requirements and documentation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) process.
  • Process outgoing product samples to ensure that samples are traceable and properly distributed for external analysis, as needed.
  • Process vendor claims, as needed.
  • Perform physical assessments to determine that raw materials and manufactured products meet the Company’s quality standards and specifications, as needed.
  • Perform internal QA audits to meet SQF and customer standards, ensuring compliance, effective processing of non-conformances (QARs) and training and support to cross functional team.
  • Provide technical support; provide training and skill development to production personnel on various quality and food safety topics.
  • Support the hold process for non-conforming product, raw materials, and other materials as required; follow up and complete disposition when determined.
  • Processing documentation and supporting investigations into food safety issues, quality issues, and customer complaints.
  • Maintain and update controlled documents including quality, operational procedures, and forms.
  • Maintain and update Access, Excel, and Sharepoint Databases to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Support the HACCP system.
  • Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.
