The HR Coordinator assists with a variety of HR functions while working closely with the HR Manager. Primarily supports the HR Manager on a variety of duties, as assigned, including but not limited to the below.

 

Job Functions:

  • Process Hourly Payroll on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, compensation, performance appraisal programs, personnel record keeping, unemployment claims and training.
  • Assist with recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried positions at the plant level.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process to include screening, interviewing, selecting, and hiring candidates.
  • Assist HR Manager regarding employee relations issues and recommends actions which are consistent with corporate policies.
  • Provide support to management and employees on problem resolution, supervisory discretion and policy interpretation.
  • Work on special projects such as the health fair, supervisor training and development, communication plans etc. coordinate background investigations and new hire paperwork.
  • Maintains all records and files as required by plant/Company policy and Federal and State laws.
  • Coordinate service awards.
  • Scan/enter employees into timekeeping system.
  • Administer and track leaves of absence, including FMLA, short-term disability, and military leaves.
  • Answer employee questions on benefits, leaves of absence, and other company policies.
  • Assist with the on-boarding process for all new hires.
  • Provide back-up HR support to HR facility manager.
  • Address accounts payable for the facility and ensure accountability for workflows.
  • Support safety documentation needs for tracking and training purposes.
  • Provides presentations, documents and/or letters as necessary for human resources, workers compensation, health, safety and training for the manufacturing site.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

 Required Skills:

  • Computer Skills: SAP, MS Office, HRIS tracking.
  • Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.)
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform work independently and effectively.

  • Self-starter
  • Organized
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

 

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED required
  • 4-year degree in related field strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of related human resources, payroll and/or purchasing experience, specifically experience in a converting facility is preferred
  • 1-3 years of recruiting experience
  • Human Resource professional certification a PLUS

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must work in the plant location.
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday 8 am to 5pm
  • Able to work 8 hours a day with frequent OT
  • Flexibility required – able to accommodate all shifts.
  • Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs
  • Position requires sitting for long periods; walking and looking at a computer screen for long periods.
  • Exposure to the noises of a manufacturing plant that requires ear plugs and PPE.

 

Pay Range:   $49,040.00 - $61,300.00
